A 'not-quite-so-sunny' day greeted the competitors for this year's event. But we couldn't grumble ... It later turned out that this was one of the last competitions to be played at Branston for the whole summer! Prolonged spells of torrential rain meant the course was underwater for almost all of June, July and August!

This year's contest was as hard fought as ever, and in the end resulted in a tie at 4 points a piece.

Result : Dornfords retain the trophy.

The celebrations carried on into the evening (most unlike us, I know!), with a special presentation at the end of the night to Rik and Claire, for their upcoming wedding. You can see the photo's of the reception here.
