Saturday 9th May 2009 - Kev Cup Day

This year saw the biggest turnout for a Kev Cup competition with 39 guys (and 1 gal) tussling for the almost mythical Kev Cup trophy.

The Dorset boys started their 2009 campaign with excellent warm-up round at Burton on the Thursday afternoon, with just a couple of beers and a particularly good curry at Manzil's to follow.

Friday's round at the excellent Breadsall Priory was a tricky affair due to strong winds and rain, but pretty good scoring saw Fuzzer taking the dosh with a superb 38 points.

A great meal at the Winery led into a heavier-than-normal Friday night at Chic Rock, leaving one or two slightly jaded faces for the Big Day ....... mentioning no names!

The main event on Saturday was a lot tighter than last year, Team Selby fielding a strong side against the Dornford Northerners. Despite a valiant run in the last couple of matches, the final result saw The Dornfords triumph 6-4, retaining the Kev Cup trophy yet again.
