Although a bunch of the Burton guys had visited Swanage the previous year, it was 2006 that saw the inaugral staging of the NVS trophy.

(NVS = North vs South, by the way .... clever eh?).

With the spectacular Isle of Purbeck golf course as the backdrop, the die-hard Burton team struggled against the might of the Swanage boys on their home turf.

The final result saw the Selby crew victorious over a spirited Dornford challenge, partially down to me not being able to putt on the 18th! Sorry Brent.

However, an excellent start to the NVS trophy, marked by the appearance of young master Harry Dornford, on his first golf-based trip to Swanage.
