The Rick Whelan Stag Tour
The annual pilgrimage to Portugal's Algarve began on Tuesday 10th April 2007 with just the Six Dayers flying out a couple of days ahead of the rest of the pack to start the holiday early.
The rest of the Dornford brigade followed on Thursday 12th April, where the main contest was to start.
Being as the nuptial celebrations of Rik and Claire were just a mere 6 weeks away, this years trip to the Algarve became known as the Rick Whelan Stag Tour and was to be a 5 round tournament, played over 4 days.
The format of the scoring was always full handicap stableford, with each players final score totalled from the best 4 out of their 5 rounds.
